Immersive Language Tours
From theory to practice—under the Grecian sun.
Speaking Greece is an immersive, professor-led experience that can be an incredible step in your language-learning journey. Together with Michael and your fellow students, you’ll have the opportunity to take your Greek out of the classroom and into the streets, shops, and rhythms of daily life.
How it works
This program combines classroom intensives with guided immersion. We begin each morning with a two-hour lesson, where we’ll rehearse and prepare for the day’s Greek-in-Action experience (shopping, ordering food, scavenger hunts, etc.) Most evenings will end more casually, with meetups where we’ll spend time together seeing the country and speaking Greek. Throughout the program, Michael will speak English only when absolutely necessary, and students will be encouraged to do the same.
Where we’ll stay
On most tours, we’ll divide our time between Athens and a neighboring island. All classes will take place on location at hotels, so you can rest and refuel whenever you need.
Throughout the tour, we’ll also make day trips to nearby islands and historical sites like Delphi.
