This spring, a select group of students will work directly with Michael in a 6-week introductory Modern Greek course.

The Spring Beginners cohort will be capped at 5 students, and is designed for serious students who are looking to begin their Greek learning with a solid and systematic foundation.

  • How to read Greek, with a special focus on pronunciation and prosody

  • Core grammatical structures of Modern Greek

  • Communication-oriented vocabulary and beginning language production

  • Attention to detail and “hot” corrections to establish proper pronunciation and language use from the beginning

  • Extensive exposure to authentic Modern Greek, curated and reinforced to create language memory

  • Explicit grammatical instruction, alongside the cultivation of language intuition through constant interaction with and through the language

  • Communication-based acquisition of vocabulary and grammatical structures
